City Council Finds Room Cheating at Regional Hospital

Jakarta City Council Chairman, Prasetio Edi Marsudi, said there is still room cheating at regional hospital (RSUD).
There is an empty room. But BPJS patients must pay Rp 200 thousand to get the room
Prasetio said BPJS patients can not get room at the hospital. It is because the hospital side stated the room is full. In fact, there are many empty rooms.
The patient will get room facility after paying some money.
City to Construct 2 Sub-district Hospitals This Year“I came to the hospital pretending as a patient. There is an empty room. But BPJS patients must pay Rp 200 thousand to get the room,” he said, Wednesday (8/24).
Related this matter, Jakarta Head Dept. of Health, Koesmedi Priharto, stated such case usually occurs at private hospital. Citizens are able to check the room availability for regional hospital through Jakarta Smart City.
“As the example, there is an empty room, but the patient can not be joined with other patients due to their disease. I hope the citizens will understand about this,” he stated.
